I have been learning my doubles and math. We are learning a lot of math. Mrs.Corbell teaches us a lot of stuff like counting money, math games, nouns, verbs, our vowels, and today we learned about adjectives. They describe nouns and nouns are a person, place or thing. Mrs. Corbell teaches us the best things in 2nd grade!

We read, The Teacher from the Black Lagoon. It was funny. Mrs.Corbell has a of lot fun stuff for us to do. I am lucky to have Mrs.Corbell as my teacher. We do centers and we go to recess and it is fun. We do math talk after lunch. We do math problems in our journals. We have a lot of fun at school.

Another summer has flown by and I know all of you are anxious for school to begin! This will be my 23rd year of teaching and my 6th year at White Oak. Every year has been a very unique and exciting year for me! I can’t wait to meet all of my new students on Thursday the 21st of August from 4-5. Please bring your school supplies and $10 cash for party, planner and folder money. School begins on the 25th. Let’s make this the best year ever!

Please enjoy the projects our class made as a result of our PBL about recycling.  The students learned a lot and worked hard!

Today were starting our flat Stanley projects. We need addresses so that we can send our Flat Stanleys to our relatives or friends who live other places. When they send the pictures back that they have taken with our Flat Stanley, then we chart all the places that our Flat Stanleys have traveled.

We are hosting the CHAMPS assembly this Friday at 8am. We would love for our parents to come.
Also Wednesday is an early release day for the teachers to be in training.

We are learning about kindness. Kindness is a very good thing. We are using kindness in our White Oak building. We are learning about times in math. It is getting close to valentines and we are going to have a party. We are learning about a lot of good stuff. We have a great teacher. I Love my teacher. Happy Valentines and have a great day.
